Illinois governor's words 'beyond greed' - Politics- msnbc.com
OK, at what time tomorrow will Rush, Sean, Neil, or someone at Fox "News" refer to it as "Obamagate". I think I am the first. The right wing blogoshere, the wingbats on A "thank God Rush saved it" M radio and Fox "News" will be connecting Blagojevich and Obama at the hip. Hell they may even have had sex, who knows? Bill Ayers, you are so old news.

Think Progress » O’Reilly And Rove Agree: Reports On The Bad Economy Are Part Of A Media Cabal To Help Obama
Think Progress » O’Reilly And Rove Agree: Reports On The Bad Economy Are Part Of A Media Cabal To Help Obama: "Yesterday on Fox News, Bill O’Reilly and Karl Rove went on a tirade against the media for hyping the struggling state of the economy. They claimed that it’s not as bad as reports are making it out to be, and journalists are overstating the case in order to help President-elect Barack Obama:"
Of course. Just ask Peggy Noonan of the WSJ. She sees no evidence of a downturn, its all our imagination.

It's Official...Obamagate
Beginning tomorrow the right wing blogosphere, talk radio, Fox "News" and any swinging dick that supported GWB and the Republican party will start at 8:00 AM Dec 10, 2008 linking the Illinois Governor and Obama in any way possible. Look for Rush (who has always been interested in which direction a Democratic Presidents penis hangs...see Lewinsky, Monica) and Sean to find every moment Obama and Blagojevich where in the same town or state or country. The right now has something to hang its hat on and damn they are excited. We will help ol' Rush and Sean chase the President out of office or at least delegitimize him. I pegged it at 8:21 PM EST Obamagate has officially begun.
How George W. Bush will be viewed
http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d09194.pdf
I explained to a Friend a while back that President G. W. Bush would be viewed harshly by historians and this GAO report gives us an insight as to how that will happen. This particular report is over 150 pages long and is basically a guide for Senate Committees to question incoming nominees to the Obama administration on their competence in a particular field. You will notice that the questions are based on identified problems that are current and not addressed, or inadequately addressed, by the Bush administration. At some point in the future when all the spinners are dead and gone (both left and right or straight down the middle) some graduate students will begin to pick apart all the questions that are in a report like this and look for evidence of effectiveness and why policies under GWB failed or succeeded. I think that the prevailing view will be that Karl Rove and George W. Bush were great politicians but inept administrators and put in place incompetent crony's in key positions that ultimately has led to the greatest economic crises this country has faced in over eighty years.

Dan Froomkin - Bush's Death Wish - washingtonpost.com: "''We must take the battle to the enemy, disrupt his plans and confront the worst threats before they emerge. In the world we have entered, the only path to safety is the path of action. And this nation will act,' Bush told the graduating cadets.
'The policy became known as the Bush Doctrine, in which the administration made no distinction between terrorists and those who supported and harbored them and was willing to confront threats before they fully materialized. . .
As your ever diligent blogger, I post this should you ever find yourself in a "gotcha moment" with Charles Gibson.

Dan Froomkin - Bush's Death Wish - washingtonpost.com: "'In a speech last week, Mr. Bush said the Middle East is a freer, more hopeful place today than when he took office in 2001. He said the threat from terrorist groups like al Qaeda has been curtailed and that Iran faces greater pressure from the international community than ever before. Mr. Bush described his Mideast policies as 'ambitious in vision, bold in action and firm in purpose.' . . .
'Mr. Bush's vision may have been ambitious and his plan bold, but history will record that he utterly failed to meet those objectives. His administration emboldened America's enemies, put Israel's security at greater risk, mired the U.S. military in an endless occupation and diminished America's prestige around the globe. No pixie dust can change that reality.'"
Pixie dust is exactly what the talking heads are sprinkling. The right wing blogosphere, talk radio and Fox "News" all have their talking points and for the next four weeks that is all they will do...sprinkle pixie dust when in fact it is poo. I have to make a slight correction here though, Rush and the boys will be sticking ol' Blagoevich as close to Obama as possible.

Economy eats into dining out | pnj.com | Pensacola News Journal
Economy eats into dining out pnj.com Pensacola News Journal: "'When you have companies like Solutia or General Electric and Wayne Dalton laying hundreds of workers off, those workers don't have the money to go out to eat,' de Varona said. 'It upsets me that we can predict the path of the hurricane, but we didn't have Washington economists warning us about the economy.'"
I am sorry Mr. de Varona, but there were many economists that said we were in a downward spiral at least a year ago and the current winner of the Nobel Prize for Economics, Paul Krugman" was warning about the housing crises over two years ago. I guess he believed Phil Gramm when he said we are a nation of whiners, or George Will declaring we are not in a recession and nowhere near it just a few months ago. Maybe he believed Peggy Noonan, the conservative columnist when she wrote that everything still looks great out there. When you get your news from Fox "News" and listen to Rush and Sean and Boortz then all you get is cheer leading for the Republican party and boosting GWB's legacy. Speaking of legacy, I think it is becoming clearer that GWB will go down as probably the worst the country has had.
