How George W. Bush will be viewed

http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d09194.pdf

I explained to a Friend a while back that President G. W. Bush would be viewed harshly by historians and this GAO report gives us an insight as to how that will happen. This particular report is over 150 pages long and is basically a guide for Senate Committees to question incoming nominees to the Obama administration on their competence in a particular field. You will notice that the questions are based on identified problems that are current and not addressed, or inadequately addressed, by the Bush administration. At some point in the future when all the spinners are dead and gone (both left and right or straight down the middle) some graduate students will begin to pick apart all the questions that are in a report like this and look for evidence of effectiveness and why policies under GWB failed or succeeded. I think that the prevailing view will be that Karl Rove and George W. Bush were great politicians but inept administrators and put in place incompetent crony's in key positions that ultimately has led to the greatest economic crises this country has faced in over eighty years.
